The European Parliament will get a taste of Cretan – at least its wine – during a three day event from Nov. 26-28 during which the island will show the fruit of its products and their reputation for producing top quality wine.
Spyros Danellis, a Greek Member of the European Parliament will head the ceremonies that include a wine-tasting evening for journalists, retailers and caterers in the European Union capital.
There will also be a meeting with the EU’s Department of Agriculture on issues facing the industry, both legal and commercial, as well as promotional.
Displays will include the showing of a Cretan vineyard. The event will close with a glass of Cretan wine, the perfect advertisement for the flavors and beauties of Greece.
