European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso will meet with Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos on Wednesday in Brussels, as it was announced on Monday by a Commission spokeswoman.
According to the same report, the two leaders spoke on the phone on Sunday, as the upcoming meeting will reportedly focus on implementation of measures agreed upon in the second bailout programme, as well as the more rapid absorption of EU funds and boosting growth in the country.
European Commissioner for Monetary Affairs Olli Rehn, Employment Commissioner Laszlo Andor, Regional Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn and Budget Commissioner Janusz Lewandowski are also expected to attend the meeting.
A short press conference will take place afterwards.
